Music
to Soothe and Relax

This is the place to find relaxing and gentle music to calm our minds, quieten our fears and lift up our spirits, all to ease the journey into our dying.

I really enjoy listening to music. Especially music that helps me feel good. Relaxing soothing music. Gentle music. Uplifting music.

I sometimes use soothing music to help me fall asleep. I love to sing ancient chants to calm my mind. I also love to listen to music to help me relax.

All these qualities are very helpful when we know that we ourselves are dying. Or we are around a loved one who is dying.

Under these challenging circumstances music can play an important part to help us relax. To trust that all is well. No matter what. That there can be joy. No matter what. That life goes on.

Check out the music selections I have chosen for you. These next three are all taken from a website called "Wisdom of the World". Click here to check out their website.

Graceful Passages: A Companion for Living & Dying by Gary Malkin and Michael Stillwater

graceful passages, music cd, I have known Michael Stillwater for years after meeting him when I lived on Maui. I then watched him over the years travel all over the world. He was recording personal prayers spoken to a dying person by spiritual leaders from various religions. Gary Malkin then added his music. That combination turned out to be a powerful tool for all of us facing our own death, or the death of a love done.

Over 100,000 copies are now in use throughout America and across the world. It turned into an award-winning resource in hospice and clinic environments while also supporting us on our personal spiritual path.

Care for the Journey: Messages & Music for Sustaining the Heart of Healthcare by Gary Malkin and Michael Stillwater

This CD of spoken messages from leaders in compassionate care is supported by original scored music. It helps strengthen both skills and capacity for emotional presence, relational medicine, and healing dialogue. The role and impact of grief and loss, communication skills, and self-care practices are explored.

Imagine the wisdom of Christiane Northrup, MD, Rachel Naomi Remen, MD, Joan Borysenko, PhD, Christina Puchalski, MD, Jean Watson, RN, PhD, Angeles Arrien, PhD, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, and other leading experts in medicine, spirituality and psychology, facilitating experiential learning.

These inspiring perspectives invite practitioners to explore their inner resources and develop greater capacity to sustain their role as a healer. Total Time: 48:06

Healing Your Life after the Loss of a Loved One by Gary Malkin and Dr. Ken Druck

An inspiring spoken word CD which combines the wisdom of nationally known grief expert, Dr. Ken Druck (who himself is a bereaved parent) and the music of Emmy Award winning composer Gary Malkin.

Dr. Druck takes the conventional understanding of grief and loss to an entirely new level while Gary Malkin's music helps soothe and open the listener's heart, thus enhancing the listeners ability to absorb information and access the spiritual realm of healing grief. A one of a kind CD that every grieving person will want to hear.

Music expresses that
which cannot be put into words
and cannot remain silent.
